A short film documents the Scottish Open Chainsaw Championship 2008 The sixth annual Carrbridge Gathering and Scottish Open Chainsaw Carving Championship a record 20 international Carver looked so far away countries like the U.S., Australia and Germany in competition for the prestigious Claymore Trophy. Each participant had four hours to create a winning combination of sculpture from an eight-foot log. There was also a Quick Carve section and Grand Auction attendees invited to anything for moneySculptures created during the day. The winner was legendary chainsaw carver, Pete Bowsher of Moffat, who took the championship for the fifth time with his Midnight Hour carving a howling wolf and owl moon light. Brett McLean was in second place from New Jersey, USA and Iain Chalmers third was from North Kessock Inverness. The People's Choice winner Andy McLachlan was from Dunoon. The day long event is also a jam packed program of the gala day activities and entertainment.
